SAE Mini-Baja is a Collegiate Design Series competition in which students must design, build, test, and race an offroad/all-terrain vehicle. During this competition, the vehicle undergoes challenges like hill climb, rock crawl, tractor pull, and mud. At the end of all the challenges, the vehicle must pass a four hour endurance race.

Through this competition students will gain hands on experience in the Automotive Industry, as well as build networking skills that will help once they graduate

This Electric Car Competition originally started in England in 1999. This project is open to divisions ranging from University levels all the way down to Middle school races. On April 7th, 2018 Brownsville hosted the first ever Greenpower Electric Car Competition in South Texas in which Texas A&M University Kingsville competed and took 2nd place.
